Q: How long is the tour?

A: the tour is about 8 blocks and takes about 90 minutes.

Q: What if it rains?

A: Please call the morning of the tour to determine the continuing probability of rain. Most likely we will go… but nobody wants to be wet so we will discuss it the day of the tour.

Q: Is the walk strenuous?

A: This is a very casual fact/fun filled walk…not at all strenuous. There are no hills and it is wheelchair and stroller friendly. It is a good idea to wear a hat and bring a bottle of water.

Q: What time should we be at the Glorietta Bay Inn?

A: Five minutes before the tour begins.

Q: How much are the tours?

A: The tour is $12.00 per person. Children under three are free. Kids under 12 are half price. AAA discounts are honored.

Q: Where exactly do we go?

A: We spend several minutes in the music room of the Glorietta Bay Inn discussing early history and the home of John.D. Spreckels. We walk around the Hotel del Coronado to the beach along Ocean Blvd to talk about the Navy and the Mansions and the beach and the people. We continue along to Star Park and a marvelous block of wonderful Victorian homes and gardens finally ending on Orange Avenue.

Q: Are your tours available at different times than Tuesday Thursday and Saturday at 11:00?

A: Yes. We accommodate group requests and can tailor our tour to meet your needs. There is a minimum of twenty people at $12.00 per person. Any number can be accommodated however we will charge for a minimum of twenty or $240.00.

We have a maximum of 25 people per tour guide and at that point will add another guide.

A: Coronado Touring has been operating for almost 30 years. Our background is history and historic preservation however….we are the experts in the real stories of Coronado and delight in sharing them with our guests so everyone will want to return again and again.

Q: Where is the Glorietta Bay Inn?

A: 1630 Glorietta Blvd Coronado, CA 92118 It is directly across the street from the Hotel del Coronado

Q: Where do I park?

A: Parking is free in all the residential areas of Coronado. The meters are good for 2 hours. Parking on Ocean Blvd is free all day. Parking nar the Community Center on the Silver Srand is also free all day.
